The owner handled a stressful mix-up with patience and honesty. I’d misplaced some belongings one morning and thought they were missing from my room, but he calmly pulled the security footage and walked me through it. I realized I’d taken my bags with me when I left. The management is professional, patient, and clearly cares about guests, and the camera system gives a strong sense of safety and accountability. It’s rare to see business owners show this much integrity. I can’t recommend the motel enough if you want a safe, well-managed place to stay. Five stars.

I’m grateful to Scott for his kindness. One of my staff had arrived by bus from Edmonton, AB to Fort Macleod and was stranded at Circle K. She was due to start an HCA job at a Long Term Care Facility and had booked accommodation at the Sunset Motel. With no Uber or other rides available, the walk would have taken 25-30 minutes. I called Sunset Motel at 10:20 PM on Thursday, January 29th, 2026. Scott answered and reassured me, saying, "Don't worry, it's only 5 minutes by car; I'll go pick her up in my Black SUV." Compassionate people like him mean a lot. Even ten stars wouldn’t show how much I appreciate Scott’s generosity.

The price was really good for what you get, and the guy at the front desk was great. It’s not the fanciest place, but it had a nice big TV and decent wifi. I’d stay again if I’m in the area.

The room smelled really nice, which is rare for motels and hotels, and the appliances were all in great shape. It was a big suite with both a desk and a table. I stopped for one night on my way to a show I was performing in BC, and it was a very nice surprise. Really good, and I can see why so many people stay here. Highly recommended.

Scott was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating when we checked in, and the easy, responsive email booking process had already made things simple. The small front office has things you might need or have forgotten, plus coffee and a fridge with snacks. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with a large TV, microwave, and fridge, and we slept well on the comfortable beds. The coded door locks made us feel secure. It’s right off the highway, but there was hardly any noise, and there’s an A&W and confectionary next door. Great for a night or a longer stay. We’ll definitely book again when we return.
