Best Western Plus Sawridge Suites

The front desk staff are amazing, and the store carries things you actually want. They offer lunches to go, which is really convenient, and there's a nice restaurant too. Breakfast was next level for Fort McMurray, with a great selection and even an omelette station. Inside, my room felt modern, quiet, roomy and practical, with a large spot to set up a temporary office and a nice kitchen area for preparing meals. The gym was adequate. There's no hot tub or steam room, but overall it's a very nice hotel. For the price, it's by far the best short stay value in Fort McMurray. It'll be my number one from now on.

We came to the Best Western Sawridge in very sad and difficult personal circumstances, and the staff showed us an extraordinary amount of kindness and compassion when we really needed support. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable, and we've told many people how much we appreciated the stay. The hotel is exceptionally clean and very well managed. We'd planned to stay only a couple of nights before finding other accommodation, but our experience was so good that we stayed the whole week. We'll always be grateful.

The hotel is a bit north of town, so you'll need transportation to get around, but it's still my first choice in Ft. Mac. It's very clean and well maintained, with underground parking. Breakfast is a nice hot spread, including an area where you can order an omelette. There's also a hotel restaurant with an open buffet on Wednesdays.

At the Best Western Sawmill in Fort McMurray, the staff were friendly and ready to help with local suggestions or special requests. The atmosphere feels welcoming, with contemporary design that balances comfort and professionalism. Rooms are spacious and clean, with modern conveniences such as flat-screen TVs, high-speed internet and well-maintained bathrooms. Some have kitchenettes. There's an on-site restaurant too. A reliable, pleasant place to stay, with a good mix of comfort, convenience and service.
