Prime Hotel

I stayed four nights for work while looking for a house to rent. They accommodated me and my two large dogs at a good rate, and gave me a covered, well-lit spot for my oversized truck, which wouldn’t fit in the parkade. The room’s air-conditioning broke on day three. They moved me to a room of the same quality the next day. Given my situation, they were very accommodating, so I booked another three days to finish my rotation.

The rooms are fairly nice, but the staff need to learn Alberta’s laws on service animals and update their policies to follow the Alberta human rights code and the blind person's Rights Act regarding guide dogs. I was made to change rooms without my consent solely because I have a guide dog.

I liked the price enough to stay two nights, lol. Front desk service was good, and it was nice to have a couple of water bottles in the fridge. They also served a bagged breakfast during the renovations. It was okay. Parking is limited, though it was nice to have underground parking. The hotel was being renovated and there was no sign to help find it. I’d still recommend a stay, especially with the price being right.

The hotel was completely under renovation, which was a terrible misrepresentation. I was locked in at night. The website promised continental breakfast, but what I got was a gas station breakfast sandwich and a thrown-together bag of food. When I booked, I was told I could arrange payment for the rest of my stay. Then I got a call at work saying they were packing up my things if I didn’t pay immediately.
