Pomeroy Inn & Suites Fort St. John

The place was friendly and clean, and the kitchenette had everything you’d need, including a stove and oven. They get breakfast ready early every morning. I’d definitely recommend it.

The room was spotless, and there were lots of fluffy towels. I had the Arabian room, a jacuzzi suite, with a big four-poster bed and a kitchen suite. The jacuzzi tub was tucked into a corner and was a good size for two, separate from the bathroom tub. I was traveling with my dog, and the hotel was pretty pet-friendly. Everyone I dealt with on staff was professional. I really loved my stay and hope I can come back.

The breakfast buffet had hot eggs, potatoes, meat and waffles, plus oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, fruit, muffins, rolls, buns, bread, toast, bagels, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and juice. I’m sure I’ve left something out. It was fine. Since we came in the off-season, in early March, the prices were attractive and there was a great selection of rooms. Service was good, just as we expected.

Every Wednesday they have a nice customer appreciation night with pizza, and there’s breakfast and popcorn each day. The staff were friendly, the rooms decent, and the free laundry was great. My main issue was housekeeping. I’m a bit of a clean freak, and they often missed something, whether it was the bedding or wiping down the counters or toilet. After a long workday, it was frustrating to have to go down and ask them to clean more thoroughly the next day.
