Christie's Mill Inn and Spa Hotel

We all enjoyed the pool, and that hot soaker tub was wonderfully relaxing. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we had good food and service at the restaurant with a peaceful view of the water. There was also snowshoeing right around the Inn, plus longer trails a short drive away. I spent a lovely weekend at Inn at Christie’s Mill with my four adult children and toddler granddaughter. Our family suite had four double beds and lots of space, with a fireplace and balcony facing the lake. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the large bathroom had a beautiful classic bathtub and a lovely decorative sink. A memorable weekend for all of us.

My husband ended up ordering the veal chops, but nobody asked how he wanted them cooked. They came well done and were hard to chew. They did agree to prepare pickerel for me. The fish was okay, but the rice was tasteless, like minute rice with a few vegetables added. I wouldn’t serve it to anyone. Our server tried her best to make up for the kitchen’s poor meal. We’ve been local regulars at Christie's Mill and Spa for years, using the spa and coming for winter dinners because the food and service used to be amazing. I called Wednesday, February 11, to reserve for February 14, our anniversary, but nobody mentioned it would be a special fixed menu. I wouldn’t have booked if I’d known. My husband loves Lamb Chops and I always order pickerel. After all these years, unfortunately, we won’t be returning to this restaurant.

We had Molly with us, and she was treated like royalty. Dogs aren’t allowed in the restaurant, but the waterfront patio is even nicer than eating inside, and the staff adored her. The people here made the stay feel cozy and at home. Everyone was sincere and accommodating, from Reception and the Restaurant to the guys looking after the grounds. Casey especially was the sweetest soul. I’d come back just for the staff. The resort is right on the water and offered more than we expected. Our room had a beautiful view, though the amenities felt a bit dated. The area made up for that with all its beauty. We enjoyed the Fall Colors, farms, nearby trails, and cozy coffee and bakery shops over the weekend. It’s a perfect place to bring your dog along, and we can’t wait to return.

Our servers were excellent at every meal, and the food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The spa was wonderful too, and our massages got us relaxed and destressed right away. We had a lovely view of the Bay from our King Bed room’s balcony. Since we arrived before check-in, reception had our luggage brought up to the room while we were getting massages. Very nice. My husband and I chose Christie's Mill for our 37th wedding anniversary in August 2025, hoping for a couples massage and a peaceful stay. The weather wasn’t good enough to enjoy the grounds during our two-night stay, so we added a third night and finally got a beautiful sunny day. We look forward to coming back.
