We keep our boat there, and Rick and Diane have been fantastic, hardworking, and helpful. Their telehandling and barging services are amazing, especially for those of us with cottages on islands who need to haul everything across the water. I can’t speak to the cottages themselves.

The little beach was nice, and my five-year-old had a blast with kids from other families. We could hardly get him off the jungle joe. Small mouth fishing was decent, and we had fires every night with other friendly people. The cottages were clean, and the owners were pleasant and helpful whenever we had questions. I do have to laugh at some of the negative reviews. If you’re expecting luxury, these are clearly advertised as small cottages. We don’t spend much time inside anyway. The area is beautiful, the water is great, and it made a nice family getaway. An air bnb might suit someone looking for luxury, but it would cost double. We had a great time and I’d return.

We had a great fishing weekend at Rick and Diane’s Halls cottages. The accommodations were excellent and the fishing was amazing, with pike, Bass, and Crappie. We’ll be back.

The location is ideal for boating to Georgian Bay’s beautiful islands and great fishing spots. The property is a short walk from the LCBO, restaurants, and the town grocery store, with a little park across the road that has swings and slides for kids. There’s also a small sandy-bottom beach that the owners keep free of weeds. The recently added water play equipment is great for kids, too. My wife and I have been coming to Hall's Cottages for five years and couldn’t be happier. We’ve kept our sailboat there, and the docks were recently replaced. We’ve stayed in many of the cottages, all well equipped and clean, and cleaning staff come in after guests leave. There’s even satellite TV, though I hope people are here to enjoy the outdoors. Rick and Diane have always made us feel welcome and helped with any issues. The photos here give a fair picture of the property, and the negative reviews don’t reflect our experience. We couldn’t ask for a better boating or cottaging stay, and can’t wait for boating season in May.

My kids love the wildlife here, including turtles swimming in the water, and I’ve caught some nice musky and catfish from the sturdy dock. There are paddle boats to use, or you can rent a motorboat for an additional cost. Highway 400 isn’t too far away. I’ve stayed at lots of cottages with my family, and this place is a reliable winner. The cottages are clean, attractive, and close to the waterfront. A grocery store, public library, and LCBO are within walking distance. The library has a good selection of children’s books, a nice option on rainy days. It’s my ideal family retreat. The owners are kind and welcoming. I’ve seen a few bad reviews and think most are from people upset about having to pay repair costs after smashing up the boats. I love this place and think you will too.
