The Carriage House Inn

Breakfast was ready when we needed it for an early start to the Western Brook Pond boat tour, and we enjoyed a picnic supper near Nonosabasuk rock after heading into town. The neighborhood was nice and not far from town. Our room, number 5, fit my husband and me well, and the bathroom was clean and practical. The host was very sociable. Leaving shoes by the front door made sense for protecting the antique floors, and the storage setup was nice. The only thing I’d suggest is some WD40 on the room and bathroom door hinges, which creaked loudly at night. Still, we had a very enjoyable stay.

The Carriage Inn was a great place to take a fall break and see the changing trees. We booked two nights, and it was absolutely worth the time and money. The booking process was easy, they explained the room, and offered us a king upgrade. We’re glad we took it. Our room was conveniently close to the back parking lot, deck, guest kitchen, and breakfast kitchen. It had the ease of a hotel, but was much quieter, with a tasty hot breakfast and no hassles. We can’t say enough, and would happily stay a night or two while travelling on the Island of NL.

The staff were so friendly and ready to help with anything. We spent just under a week at the Inn and had a wonderful time. The place was beautifully furnished and very clean. There was a nice range of breakfast choices in the dining room, though we chose the hot breakfast every morning because the chef made it so well. We’ll definitely come back.

The dining area had a perfect view, and breakfast was lovely. I really liked our stay here. The small room with twin beds was cozy and comfortable, and we slept great. I’d recommend it and would definitely stay again.
