Boating and fishing on the Baskatong reservoir are incredible. My father has been coming to pointe a David for nearly 30 years, and it’s given him a lot of cherished memories. It’s his favorite place for fishing, camping, and relaxing in a chalet. Renting a cabin or roulette has gotten much more expensive in recent years, though.

The beaches are lovely, the water is gorgeous, and the campsite spots are really nice. Showers cost $1 for five minutes, which seems fair. At the convenience store, SAG Agency — DÉP, we felt uncomfortable because the male owner in glasses and a white shirt followed us around as if we might steal something. We were only trying a slushie to check it wasn’t watery before buying one. I read the owner’s reply, and it sounds like they’re willing to work on this, so I’ll come back for slushies and those delicious pastries. I’d bring your own food, snacks, and essentials, though the store has quite a few things if you run out. The bakery prices are fair, and the fresh morning pastries are delicious, especially the chocolatines, croissants, and almond pastries.

There’s a store and a restaurant here, and the lodging options include cottages, hotel rooms, and suites. The amenities can suit different ages and needs. It’s a beautiful park right on the shores of the Baskatong Reservoir. They’ve got it all.

The fishing is fantastic, and the sunsets are breathtaking. I’m from Seattle, Washington, in the US. The owners and staff are amazing, and the rooms are very clean and well maintained. The restaurant serves great food at affordable prices.

The owners are friendly and accommodating, and you can rent cabins right along the shore of Baskatong lake. It’s a great place to fish, with beautiful scenery and water. I’ve been coming to La Pointe A David every year for over 15 years. It’s on a remote peninsula in Northern Quebec, and I highly recommend this wonderful resort. No need to travel down south.
