Auberge Kicking Horse Guest House

The evening hot tub under the stars made us sure we’d want to come back. We were a group of six, and the stay was great. The kitchen and living room are spacious and very well stocked, even with oil, vinegar, spices, and so on. All three bedrooms have their own bathrooms, which was especially handy when everyone came in at once after a long time outdoors. There’s a barbecue available too.

The owner was so personable and accommodating. I lost a ring during our stay and got in touch with her. She went above and beyond to find it and return it to me. We were three couples, each with a bedroom and ensuite, and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. Such a lovely place. I’d absolutely stay again! Mary E. July 5, 2024

After long days hiking, I loved relaxing in the jacuzzi, and the avocado eggs Marie-France made in the morning were a treat. She’s a warm, welcoming hostess, a capable businesswoman, and an artsy cook. We felt comfortable and secure while staying with her. Golden worked well as a two-night stop on our drive through Canada, and we went rafting on the Kicking Horse River while we were there. I’m looking forward to seeing "MF" and her daughter Emily again on a return trip.

Marie-France is a lovely person, always ready with advice to help you make the most of your time in Golden. She prepares breakfast fresh each day and has scones available to take along on a hike. And the hot tub is just right after a long day on the trails. Fantastic B&B.
