Golden Mountain View Suites

We spent four days at Golden Mountain View Sites in August 2024, and the hosts made me feel completely at ease. They provide absolutely everything you could need. The rooms felt like welcoming homes, and ours even had air conditioning to keep us comfortable. Beds were cozy, the kitchens had all the necessary equipment, and everything was pristine. The sauna was a real treat, and I managed to get some laundry done so the kids could stay tidy. There's so much to do in Golden and nearby. Lake Louise and Banff were only a short trip away, and I'd like to visit the Hot Springs next time. We ran out of time to do everything. It's perfect for families, couples and travelers with dogs. A real gem, I'm so glad we stayed here.

That deck was the perfect place to unwind with a drink and take in the mountain view after the day. The cedar barrel sauna was another welcome way to relax after skiing. Crystal and Gary were wonderful hosts, explaining what was available at the suite and around Golden and letting us know they were there if we needed anything. The suite had everything we could need, including boot dryers, and our visit was fantastic. If it’s available, I’d be hard-pressed to stay anywhere else.

We spent the day paddling the Columbia River Wetlands, just minutes away, and then visited Emerald Lake. The owners were kind and accommodating, and the suite was spacious, beautifully arranged, fully equipped, and had its own patio overlooking the river with plenty of room to walk the dogs. We found Golden Mountain View Suites while searching for a dog-friendly family place for the weekend, and it turned out to be our best stay in Golden. The highway noise can come through when the doors or windows are open, or during busy travel periods, especially if highway 1 is closed east of Golden. At night, though, it was barely noticeable. Crystal and Gary are genuinely kind and thoughtful, and their spacious, welcoming place had everything we needed. It’s only 5 minutes from town, with amazing sunset views over the Purcell mountains. We really enjoyed our stay.
