Happy Trails Campground & Cabins

The power charges made our year-long work stay a terrible experience, especially in winter. They swung from $850 down to $300 with no changes on my end, and when I asked about it, staff accused me of harassing them. The owner was rude when I questioned the bill and said my trailer must be using all that power. At our previous campground, they said we used as much electricity there all winter as we did here in two months. It felt like a money grab. We won't return, and I especially wouldn't recommend staying here in winter. I'd guess the positive reviews are from people who only stayed a night or two.

For the three summer months my kids and I stayed here, the campground was clean, friendly, and welcoming. We loved being here, and I'd recommend it to others. I can't speak to the rooms, since I stayed in my camper.

Country roads has a much nicer area and fantastic staff. Happy Trails hasn't been the same since the new owners took over. They're rude and mean, and the laundry facilities are always dirty. The old owners had a good thing going, and the new ones have ruined it.

We spent a week in one of the rental trailers and felt at home. The staff were so friendly that I'd definitely stay here again.
