The room was clean, comfortable, and nice, and the hot tub was a highlight. We made the best of our stay, but the atmosphere made it hard to relax. A hockey league was at the hotel, and kids were screaming and running up and down the halls, especially in the evenings. It didn’t seem like their parents were stepping in to quiet them. Breakfast had the same problem, with kids wandering around unattended while their parents seemed disengaged. The buffet was mediocre, with limited choices and bland food. I’d put the stay at about 5/10. The room and hot tub were good, but the noise and breakfast really affected the visit.

We stayed two nights while Dad had surgery, and the staff were kind, helpful, and professional. When we called, maintenance came right away. The teenagers especially loved the pool and hot tub, and breakfast was a great spread. Everything was great.

The photos from my stay reminded me that I’d meant to share these cleanliness concerns. The air conditioning unit looked poorly maintained, as though it hadn’t been cleaned properly in a long time. That left me worried about the room’s air quality and hygiene, and it affected my comfort during the stay. Cleanliness is a big part of the guest experience. I hope Fairfield Inn & Suites Guelph will clean and inspect its AC units regularly, address this promptly, and maintain the quality guests expect from the Fairfield brand.

We’ve celebrated my son’s birthday here twice, and both stays have been excellent. Debbie has arranged an accessible room so my mom could join us, and she’s surprised my son with something special for his birthdays. The hotel is clean, the staff are so friendly and go beyond expectations, and the pool and hot tub area is lovely. There are lots of good options at breakfast, too. We’ll always stay here when we’re in the area.

My family had a great time at the pool, especially on the waterslide, and we enjoyed breakfast as well. We stayed one night, and the accommodations were perfect. A great place for a family stay.
