Stardust Motel

The shower was the main drawback. Its faucet is very low, so anyone over five feet may find it uncomfortable to use. The bathroom itself was clean and modest. The room was comfortable, with a small kitchen and several appliances, and the beds were fairly comfortable. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. They walked us to the room and explained everything we needed to know.

We stayed here June 26, 2024. The room was cleaner and better maintained than we expected for an older place, and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and efficient, and check-in was the quickest I’ve ever had.

A good place to stay when visiting Kluane National Park or driving the Alaska Highway. The location is great, and our room had a fridge and microwave. It’s a bit dated, but clean and comfortable enough, with good staff and everything you need in a motel. The walls are thin, though the other guests were pretty quiet. I’d stay again.

It doesn’t look like much from the curb, but it was better than other places we stayed while driving from the southern tip of Baja to Anchorage. If you’re on your way to Alaska and just need a pit stop, you’ll get a clean place and a comfortable bed. The plumbing is pretty awful, and it’s right on the Alaska Highway. Still, who cares when everywhere else was booked?
