We spent four nights at the Brewery Park Hotel. It's not perfect, and other reviews have covered many of its quirks, but the location is what makes it great. There are so many good coffee shops, bars, and restaurants within walking distance. We went to the waterfront twice, and both times we found ourselves wanting to head back to the area around the hotel. The room was beautiful and had lots of windows, plenty of space, and a great firm mattress. Check-in and checkout were easy. Downsides: no parking, though luckily the ticket is only $25; no elevator; only a rain shower head in room 2301; and there was a wine cooler instead of a mini fridge, which doesn't go below 41°. Some neighborhood favorites for food and drinks were The Ostrich Club, Bar Kizmet, Good Robot, The Narrows, Almonac, Espresso 46, Bramble Coffee, Lucy’s Hydrostone Cafe, and Chain Yard Urban Cidery. I wish we'd had more time. People around the neighborhood were generous with suggestions for other places to eat. I'd stay here again and recommend it.

I've stayed here several times and love the hotel. The beds are super comfortable, and it's clean. The neighborhood in Halifax is up and coming, with lots to walk to, and the door codes make access easy. There's no elevator, but the building is only two floors, so just be sure your luggage isn't too heavy. I'll definitely stay again.

The location was lovely and easy to get around on foot, and our room was beautiful and incredibly clean. We stayed five nights at Brewery Park Hotel and had a great stay overall, but I was disappointed that there was no way to cook in the room even though a kitchenette is shown. I only found out from other reviews afterward that you could request a microwave. I don't remember seeing that mentioned when booking or checking in, and I'd recommend putting a microwave in every room. For three afternoons, we left the cleaning sign on the door, but nobody came. I don't know what time housekeeping makes its rounds. We went down to the lobby to ask for more towels, and they brought them promptly. I hope this review helps others know what to request ahead of time.

The native plants and rustic benches outside already make the place feel welcoming. We’ve stayed at Brewery Park lots of times, and it’s still our first choice in Halifax. The rooms share the same fresh, clean, modern style, but each has its own little details.

The beds in the sleeping alcoves felt like little nests, with lovely linens and even better pillows. I came for three nights at the beginning of my December 2025 Nova Scotia trip, enjoyed it so much that I booked another three nights at the end. The suites in the historic building have their own character, with charming decor and a minimalist look alongside modern conveniences. Everything was spotless, the kitchens were simple but well equipped, the water pressure was great, and the heat made the rooms cozy quickly on cold winter nights. It’s a sweet, authentic North End stay.
