Dennis was accommodating when I had to come at short notice because of illness in the family, adding extra nights at the last minute as I needed them. The B+B owner takes real pride in the place, and breakfast made at home is included in the price every morning. The rates are competitive for the area, and the location works well if you want to explore. I found the rooms and common areas clean, though the carpet deodorizer may be strong if you’re sensitive to smells. If you have allergies, I’d ask them not to use it before your stay. It was easy to tell staff when I needed more towels or a bed sheet change.

Abi(Dennis), who hosts the property, was so kind and helpful. The place is right in the heart of downtown, making it easy to get around. Breakfast was amazing, with fresh, delicious food every day. I had a great experience and would definitely recommend it.

Abi is warm and accommodating, and the place is lovely from the bedroom all the way to the garden. The unit had everything we needed, and breakfast was amazing.

The Christmas lights had just gone up during this stay, and they looked so pretty and festive. I spent a couple of days at Barclay House B&B again, and it was another wonderful visit. The care they took with dietary restrictions and the other little details was touching and much appreciated.

The host was helpful and knowledgeable, and gave me good suggestions for things to do. Breakfast was excellent, and I recommend this B&B. It’s in a great spot for a tourist, near public transport, shopping, restaurants, and other things.
