Rosellen Suites At Stanley Park

The staff made us feel welcome and went out of their way to help. We had a really enjoyable stay, with a spotless, spacious, comfortable room and amenities thoughtfully provided. The location was great, and it felt like very good value. I’d happily recommend it. Service was excellent from check-in through checkout.

We had a very comfortable five-night stay in a huge two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite, and the location was hard to beat. It’s right by Stanley Park, a short walk from English Bay and the attractions in the park, and minutes from touristy Denam Street, with plenty of restaurants and shops. The suite felt old in style, as did the property overall, but it was functional and very clean. Don’t expect something new or swanky. Our family of five had lots of room, and it could easily fit eight. There was a king bed in the spacious main bedroom, plus an ensuite full bathroom with both a tub and shower and an ensuite walk-in closet. The second bedroom had two single beds, just right for our teens. The large living and dining area had a fold-out double Murphy bed and a big pull-out sofa bed. All the beds were very comfortable. They provided several kinds of pillows, including body pillows, plus towels and basic soap and shampoo. Each bedroom and the living room had a medium-sized TV with plenty of programming. The kitchen came with all appliances, including a full-size fridge, electric stove, and dishwasher, as well as basic utensils, crockery, cutlery, cleaning supplies, and dishwasher tablets. The basement has coin-operated laundry, and the front desk was happy to give us change. Check-in and checkout were seamless. We were delayed arriving, so they sent after-hours access instructions. We used the underground parking, an extra $25 a night, and found it worth it downtown. The spaces are tight, though, so maneuvering can be tricky with a larger vehicle. Staff at the desk were polite and helpful, gave us complimentary tickets to downtown attractions, and left us a bottle of wine over News Year's.

This is an older building with an old apartment-complex feel, and the rooms aren't fancy, but they're equipped with everything you need. It’s very budget friendly, and everyone working there was really nice. The location is fantastic, right next to Stanley Park, with lots of places within walking distance. The area felt very safe.

There’s no restaurant inside, but laundry machines are included. The suite was comfortable, and the price was the lowest I found for a downtown Vancouver family hotel with a kitchenette. It’s beside Stanley Park and three blocks from a busy area for food and shopping. A direct bus along Robson goes to downtown Vancouver (coast harbor). I’d love to stay here again.
