Best Western Plus Sands

We keep coming back for a few days to get over the jet lag after that very long flight from Australia. The beds are comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful, and housekeeping does a good job each day. English Bay beach and Stanley Park are close by for walks, and Granville Island is an easy walk to reach by ferry. Safeway and a bottle shop are about 200 metres away, handy for picking up easy meals to heat in the microwave. We also enjoy winding down at the bar's Happy Hour, with different Appies each afternoon to have alongside a drink.

Vince, the manager, really made the stay for me. He went out of his way to help things run smoothly and make guests feel welcome, and the whole team was friendly and helpful. The location gets a 10/10 from me: everything was walkable and getting around town was easy. I had a comfortable stay at the Best Western Sands in Vancouver, and I'd happily return and recommend it.

Passang Wangmo deserves special recognition for her housekeeping. She's professional, attentive to detail, efficient, and consistently keeps everything exceptionally clean. Her positive attitude and dedication make a real difference to the stay, and the hotel is lucky to have her. The hotel itself was welcoming and well maintained, with clean, organized, thoughtfully prepared rooms. It's a comfortable, dependable place that met my expectations for cleanliness and service.

My sister and I had booked a three-day holiday stay, but urgent work came up for her, so I went on my own. The solo trip turned out much better than I expected, and I met a few great people. Conrad at the front desk was especially friendly and did his best with all my requests. He switched my room since I was traveling alone, helped with room service, brought a new blanket and towel, and suggested places to visit. The hotel is in a great spot. Great service, and I'll definitely be back.
