The rooms are simple, but clean and comfortable, with what you need for a pleasant stay. Daniele deserves a special mention for being kind, quick to help, and responsive. He even helped us with things unrelated to our accommodation, although he didn't have to. That made a real difference. Much appreciated, and I'd recommend staying here.

We stayed three nights in a comfortable room with a desk and a little fridge. The hostel was clean throughout, and the bathroom was always tidy. There's a small kitchen with a microwave, though no stovetop. You’re right on Davie street, with loads of bars and restaurants nearby, and everything is walkable. It was fairly quiet except for one night when noisy neighbors kept us up at 3 a.m. That's not the hostel's fault. The one thing I found odd was that you can't use a Canadian debit card for the security deposit.

The Queen room was just right for us, especially the comfortable beds. The amenities were great and kept clean, and guests can use the kitchen, where there's free tea and coffee. Staff were friendly and available to help around the clock at the 24/7 desk. The GuestHouse Vancouver is close to everything, and the price felt very good for such a convenient location. We had an amazing time. If you're after a cute, cozy place to stay in central Vancouver, this is a lovely choice.

The shared washroom and shower were a dealbreaker for me. I don't want to share those on vacation, and the smell as you walk in quickly took the excitement out of the trip. The carpets and rooms weren't inviting either. Prices were reasonable, but the stay felt like what you'd expect for that price, and I wouldn't recommend it for visitors wanting to stay downtown. There was no parking available, so we had to leave the car at another hotel and walk back with our luggage to check in. The front desk staff weren't especially pleasant or well equipped with information. We were unhappy enough that we didn't stay, but still had to pay for one night. I felt the listing was misleading and they should have canceled the reservation without charging us.
