Silverstone Downtown Long-Term stay

I cancelled the booking because the room didn't match its description, and they asked me to email a photo of my credit card and ID.

The area is very central, and the property was very clean and well maintained. Staff were helpful. Booking felt a bit over the top, though, with a huge bond to pay and lots of extra instructions.

My wife and I stayed for five nights in late May. After a 14-hour flight, we reached the hotel at 7:30am, but the office didn't open for normal check-in until 11am. We asked to check in early and paid for an extra night as required. Management later offered $50 toward the $190 fee we paid after we explained what happened. We didn't want to argue after the experience, and were glad to leave after a few days. We were given instructions for self check-in through the intercom, but called at least ten times with no answer, and tried WhatsApp too. After waiting two hours, one of the residents let us in around 10am. We felt very unsafe because of the homeless and drug problems in the area, and even the taxi driver didn't seem keen to leave us there. There was drug use everywhere we looked. I'd recommend spending a little more and staying somewhere else, outside this area.

Such an amazing place to stay.
