Seaside Hotel

The location worked really well, with shops, restaurants and a grocery store within easy walking distance. It was about seven minutes to the Seabus, which crosses Vancouver Harbour to downtown in under 15 minutes. Parking in the hotel basement was fine and quiet, though I understand it can get crazy in summer. We thought the hotel was good value. Service was great, and the room was spotless and well equipped. Our fifth-floor room on the east side was very quiet. They brought me a good-quality stainless steel kettle within five minutes of my asking, which impressed me. I think there was a steamer in the bathroom cupboard, though I didn't use it. The beverage cooler was really a tiny glass-door fridge, and it came in handy. There was no bathtub, just a large, beautiful shower. I liked the closet lighting and lights under the bed edges, but the room still felt a bit dark. The rainy, dark weather in late October probably contributed. While packing, I wished for a bright overhead ceiling light. That's the only reason I'd give the room four stars.

We had a peaceful stay in the ocean view corner suite, even with the shipyards nearby. The view over downtown Vancouver and the waterfront was beautiful, and the room felt calm and relaxing. On a rainy night, the soaker tub was perfect. It's a great staycation spot, steps from the SeaBus for easy trips downtown to shop or eat, with good restaurants and coffee shops nearby.

They even prepared a bowl and a cozy bed for our dog, which made us feel they truly consider pets part of the family. We've stayed in many hotels, but this was the first to make our pet feel just as welcome. That thoughtful touch made the stay unforgettable, and the hospitality was outstanding. The hotel was immaculately clean and exceptionally welcoming, with impressive attention to detail. Highly recommended for comfort and kindness!

We were pleasantly surprised by how clean and thoughtfully designed the rooms were, even the smaller one we booked this trip. The shower was excellent too. Staff were noticeably friendly and helpful, which we really appreciated. Staying in "The Shipyards" puts good restaurants, breweries and, in December, a Christmas market nearby. The Seabus makes it a quick ride across to Downtown Vancouver and Vancouver Convention Centre. We liked it enough that we'd stay here for downtown appointments, meetings or reservations. The price, value, cleanliness, safety, Seabus access and location make it a smart choice.
