Wendy at the front desk made our stay wonderful. When she helped us change rooms, she paid close attention and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. From our first interaction she was welcoming, professional, and genuinely pleasant to talk with. Please pass our thanks to Wendy and her boss. Her service skills are outstanding, she’s a real asset to the team, and she deserves a pay raise. Thanks for a great stay.

The view and location were great, and the staff were friendly and nice. The place was clean, but far from luxurious. The fitted sheet was inside out, furniture was pretty banged up, and the dated bathroom had water that wasn’t nearly hot enough. The small TV offered Netflix and YouTube but was partly hidden from the bed. We could hear guests through the wall, and the white walls had no art. The pool was tiny, and the hot tub barely fit four people. There was also a loud heater in the room. We checked out before going to bed, and won’t stay again.

I’ve enjoyed several stays here over the years, but the hotel is getting worn down and needs refurbishment. The bathtub was very rusty, the bathroom door stuck badly, and the bed was uncomfortably hard. The location is great, within walking distance of most downtown attractions and restaurants. Unfortunately, several competing hotels nearby are starting to look run down too.

I really appreciated what Charlie did at the front desk. He went out of his way to make our visit feel special. We were there for two nights, and the room and bed were comfortable. The lounge was easy to get to and just the kind of place I wanted to spend time in.

The staff made us feel welcome and were very friendly. Our room was spacious, and getting around was easy with the Halifax Waterfront nearby. Service was great, too.
