Rose Arden Bed & Breakfast

Gwen was such a sweet host. We had a wonderful stay at the Rose Arden!

Gwen made me feel at home as soon as I arrived at Rose Arden B&B. I was there for two nights in June, on a short getaway and for a Geocaching event in Hamilton. She was warm and welcoming throughout. The Edwardian Room had a charming vintage feel. It was a particularly hot weekend and the fan wasn’t very powerful, but with the window open, a nice breeze came through at night and kept the room comfortable. Breakfast was a treat each morning, prepared by Gwen’s husband, Ken. Everything tasted great, especially the homemade peach jam. It was so memorable that Gwen should think about bottling and selling it! The B&B sits atop the Niagara Escarpment, with a beautiful view and peaceful setting. I enjoyed strolling along Mountain Park Avenue, where a steady breeze made even the hot weather feel refreshing. There are plenty of good dining options nearby too. I live in the Greater Toronto Area and am already looking forward to coming back. There’s still lots to explore in Hamilton, and Rose Arden B&B makes a perfect base.

Gwen and Ken are lovely hosts, kind and very accommodating. They go the extra mile, and the place really feels like a home away from home. I’d rate it 10 plus, plus out of 10, and highly recommend their B and B. Jurvinski Hospital is within walking distance. The sunroom has beautiful views, and the rooms and house are uniquely decorated with their own handmade pottery and paintings. A truly lovely home and couple! 😀

We’d never stayed at a B&B before, and this was a lovely first experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. They were happy to accommodate my sister’s vegetarian preference. We especially enjoyed the pretty view from the sunroom. It’s a great base for exploring Ontario, and I’d highly recommend it to any weary traveler looking for somewhere peaceful to stay.
