Coastal Inn Antigonish

This was my second stay here, and the woman who checked us in has been absolutely lovely both times. The room was fine and clean, but the internet initially showed “Connected without internet.” After I edited this review, the lady called me about the issue and credited me. Apparently the Wi-Fi just needed a reset. If it happens to you, let them know and they can sort it out.

Breakfast was a highlight: you order the day before, which keeps it simple, and there was a good range of breads and cereals, hot hard-boiled eggs, and great coffee. Mother Webbs is just across the street, too. The hotel is spotless and very well cared for. It may look a little dated, but the rooms are comfortable and quiet, and the staff and service were exceptional. My only real gripe was the pillows, which were super thin. Everything else was great.

Getting here is easy since it’s right off the highway. We loved this charming spot. The rooms are on the small side, but the friendly, attentive staff more than made up for that and fixed any problems we mentioned. Breakfast was welcome, and the bathroom was clean. Our room also had a fridge, iron, microwave, and dining table.

We upgraded to a family room and got three double beds and two TVs, which was great. The free breakfast was a big bonus, and the woman at reception was really nice and accommodating. Now we’re staying somewhere that costs more than twice as much and doesn’t have a TV, fridge, or microwave. Quite a difference.
