Doris even helped us get my husband’s souvenir T-shirt back after we’d left it in the room. She messaged us and mailed it home free, though we offered to cover postage. That kindness fit the warm welcome we had at Belle View Manor. We stayed one night in August on our way back to St. John's, in the Bennett room with its king bed and big bathroom. The old house is beautiful, and breakfast was generous and delicious, especially the homemade blueberry pancakes. The china was the same pattern my mother had when I was little, which really warmed my heart. Newfoundland’s reputation for friendly people is well deserved. Thanks for making the last part of our trip across Newfoundland so special. I’d happily recommend staying here.

The rooms’ historical feel and the breakfast were highlights for us. It was a perfect spot for a Newfoundland getaway, right by the coast, cozy while still feeling high class. Truly remarkable.

That breakfast alone made us wish we’d booked more than one night. We only stopped in while passing through, but Debbie and Doris served it with such charm. Our room paired a four poster bed, bow window and fireplace with modern conveniences, great WiFi and climate control. One of my favourite places I’ve stayed in Canada. We’ll make it a destination next time.

We were the only guests because of the off-season timing, and had a comfortable stay in this character-filled old Victorian home. The room was well appointed, and the bed was super comfortable. In the morning we enjoyed a top-notch breakfast, then wandered the spacious grounds and found a hot tub, fire pit, fire table and cozy places to relax in the quiet. I’d definitely come back.

Marlena did so much to help us feel comfortable, and sweet toddler Nora was a delight. Belle View is a lovely place to stay, with roomy, nicely decorated rooms and comfortable beds and pillows. We even slept on hand ironed 100% cotton sheets. Breakfast had plenty of tasty food, and the coffee was great.
