Bluebird Motel

Check-in was easy, and the staff were friendly. The room was comfortable and clean, and the area was quiet. I thought it was good value for the price and would stay again.

The price is low, but the cleaning standards are even lower. In all my cheap hotel stays, I don't think I've had a room this dirty, beat up, and smoky. Old furniture is fine with me, but the floor was gritty with dirt. I'd skip this motel.

We brought our dogs for a dog show in olds, and the rooms suited what we needed. I like this kind of entry because it's easy to unload our things. The woman at the desk was very nice. It's an older motel, so some wear and tear is expected, and you get what you pay for. If you just need a cheaper place to sleep, this works. We enjoyed our stay, and appreciate Blue Bird Motel accommodating us and our dogs.

I spent ten minutes at the front desk trying to reach someone, then paid $87 for a room that shocked me. It was tiny, smelled awful, had a window in the door, and a cloth bathroom door. It looked like a horror movie. I was so taken aback I forgot to take a photo. I told the desk lady I couldn't stay there, and she moved me to another room. That one was cleaner and had a window, but still wasn't worth $87. The toilet ran for 15 minutes, and the fridge and microwave could only be plugged in one at a time. I was a bit afraid to shower because the cracked porcelain looked original, from the 1950s. There was a very old AC unit on everyone's wall except the managers'. At checkout I said they should be ashamed to rent the first room for $87. I was told the room I'd been moved to cost $100. For $100, I'd strongly suggest going anywhere else in town.
