Pine Bungalows

We went to the on-site restaurant for dinner once and breakfast twice, and the food was delish. Our cabin was perfect for our first visit to Jasper, and the site felt serene. The bed was very comfy, and we loved having complimentary firewood and a personal outdoor fireplace. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and the staff had left a complimentary bottle of wine in our room. Such a sweet touch. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice to stay at Pine Bungalows in October.

Strawberry and Lorraine made our two night stay at Pine Bungalows extra special. They were so welcoming and really went the extra mile. We loved the local soaps, linen napkins at the Kumama Restaurant, tasty welcome sangria, and tended fire pits. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. We’ll be back!

Kumama restaurant, right by reception, was the highlight for us. We ate there both nights and loved the food, especially the cauliflower dish, which we ordered each time. Book ahead. Our upstairs room in the lodge was a convenient choice, close to everything. The rooms are cabin style and comfortable, and there are cabins by the river and around the parklands too, as well as plan b rooms at the lodge by main reception and Kumama restaurant. It’s a lovely place to unwind, with outdoor fires to sit by, a beautiful riverside walk, and stunning mountain views. Jasper township is a short drive away, and it’s much quieter than Banff. We really enjoyed our stay at Pine Bungalows Jasper.

The river view was lovely, and we spent every morning and evening outside our cabin watching a gorgeous squirrel look for food. At night there’s no artificial light outdoors, so you can stargaze when the sky is clear. The free firewood for the pit was a welcome surprise, as was the gas fireplace inside. The cabin was beautiful, clean, new, and had everything we needed, including what we used to cook our own food each evening. The bathroom was nice and the shower had good water pressure. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, so can’t say whether it was good or bad, but we did buy some nice Jasper beer there. The employees were polite and lovely. My husband and I sat outside every night, feeling lucky to be there. Four nights at Pine Bungalows wasn’t nearly enough. The setting felt like the middle of the forest, not somewhere man made. Jasper and Pine Bungalows were the best part of our first trip to the Rockies and Canada, and we’ll be back in future, 100%.
