Nothing much to do here except sleep, and even that was hard with the room's smell. The Wi-Fi was too slow to stream a movie, and the TV was a mess: of roughly 30 channels on the list I requested, only six worked, three of them news. They had plenty of excuses but couldn't help me find anything to watch. There was one washcloth and just a couple of towels. A real dive. Should be rated below zero!

We make a point of staying here on our trips between B.C. and Alberta, and we're always glad we did. The staff have been really friendly and nice, and the rooms are clean with newer floors. Breakfast is the usual continental fare. The only snag for us was a shower that squealed, which is a very minor thing.

Easy to spot just off the hiway, with plenty of clean rooms. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, and really easy going. I'd definitely stay here again.

The room was fairly clean, but the mini fridge didn't work and the air conditioner seemed to be just a fan. For $225 a night, I expected it to cool the room. I overheat easily, so it was really warm overnight. Its cover was caked with dust, as if it hadn't been cleaned in years. There also weren't many outlets beyond a couple of little ones on the lamps. We had to find the end of the extension cord to plug in. The door's safety lock was broken, though they did install a deadbolt, so there's that.

We travel through McBride twice a year and will definitely come back. The staff were very helpful and courteous when there was a booking mistake by one day. They called to check and didn't charge us for the extra day, which was kind of them. We were travelling with a dog, and the pet room had click flooring instead of carpet, so much better. A quiet, clean place to sleep, with good, clean beds.
