The restaurant is a highlight for us. The food has amazing flavours, and the servers are excellent, warm, and welcoming. We stay here regularly for our organization’s business meetings, and the staff are always pleasant and take time to get to know guests. The rooms are consistently clean, the beds are pretty good for being away from home, and we’ve noticed recent updates that make the place more appealing. No complaints after our latest stay.

Parking was tight, so keep that in mind. There’s a liquor store within 100m of the front door, a Tim's two minutes away by car, and a convenience store two minutes in the other direction. We were satisfied and would recommend staying here. The room seemed recently renovated in good taste, with modern furniture showing little or no wear. The concrete construction kept noise down, except for a pack of elephants above us on the second night of our three-night stay. Staff dealt quickly with the noise after quiet hours. They were friendly and prompt when we raised concerns. The beds were comfortable and clean, the pillows fresh, and the shower warm. The main tub filler didn’t seal completely, but it wasn’t a real problem for us. The room’s light switches were oddly placed, and with no ceiling lights it was darker than I’d like. Another lamp in the corner might help. We didn’t really want to open the window because of construction outside, though that isn’t the hotel’s fault. The coffee was terrible when we made one cup, with an earthy taste. We found that making three cups and mixing them evened out the flavour. The bar fridge was there, but it couldn’t fit our family-sized cheese and sausage tray. It could hold eight cans in the door plus a few snacks and leftovers.

The pool area had a cozy, relaxing feel, and there’s a separate hot tub too. It seems set up nicely whether you’re unwinding alone or with family. Everything felt clean, pleasant, and well maintained, and the friendly, helpful staff left a very positive impression. I enjoyed my stay and can recommend this place to anyone visiting Kamloops. A great spot to relax and enjoy your time.

When we got home, we realized I’d left a large freezer Ziploc bag of hair ties, clips, barrettes, and a brand-new conditioner under the sink. We called right away and were told to call back the next day in case the room hadn’t been cleaned. Then we were told nothing had been turned in. We’d spent almost $800 on the four-night stay, not counting the overpriced, mediocre meals, and had cleaned up, stripped the beds, and left a $20 tip. It felt hard to trust the hotel with small things, let alone bigger ones. Our checkout date was Jan 4, room 357. We need to be in town again this weekend and every month indefinitely, but they lost our business over about $50 worth of hair ties and an $8 bottle of conditioner. This has been our go-to hotel for years because we live out of town and come to Kamloops frequently for medical appointments. Usually we haven’t had problems. After two calls to the front desk and then this review, the bag was eventually found in lost and found, with a Post-it showing our room number. Apparently the front desk hadn’t checked there. Mina called us, and we picked it up on a return trip, this time in our RV.

Housekeeping was great, very kind and hospitable, and doing the best they could. The room, though, was very dusty and musty, so we kept the little window open throughout our stay. The carpets should be shampooed and cleaned more often. We’d called a few days ahead to ask about an early check-in because our medication needed refrigeration. They said it was marked as a priority and we might be able to arrive a little early, but nothing was guaranteed. We came at 2:00 p.m., an hour before regular check-in. The front desk person rudely said nobody could ever guarantee a room before 3:00, and wouldn’t listen when I explained I knew that, but wanted to know if there was a room available so we could store the medication. She just said no. Even an offer of an ice bag, using the staff fridge, or checking what they could do would have been fine. There was no empathy, just a clear lack of training. We had to buy ice packs at a gas station to keep the medicine at the needed temperature. Our room wasn’t ready until after 3:00. They need enough staff to get the rooms cleaned.
