Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Kanata

The room was clean, and the staff were some of the kindest customer service people we've met while travelling. We were very impressed with our stay at Microtel. We called ahead to mention our son's birthday, and the team went out of their way to make him feel special. They signed a card and left it in our room, and he loved it. We were very close to Canadian Tire Centre, though there isn't a way to walk there. Microtel does offer a shuttle to and from the arena for a cost, and the wait was much shorter than for an Uber. 10/10 service and experience. Shout out to everyone working February 26th/27th, you're a stellar team.

The pool was a delight and a great place to relax, and the facilities were spotless throughout. I also had a few issues with forgotten items, but Shrutika helped sort everything out smoothly. From the moment I arrived, the staff were attentive and friendly and made me feel welcome. I would have liked more water and disposable items available in the gym, and a little more variety at breakfast. Still, I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.

We had a very pleasant short trip at Microtel in Ottawa, starting Wednesday. The hotel was clean, comfortable and well maintained, which made things easy and relaxing. At reception, Shrutika was kind, welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. Her positive attitude and professionalism made us feel looked after. We also met Nutan, who kindly offered us freshly made, delicious sweets. That thoughtful gesture made the visit feel extra special. Thanks to the team for the hospitality and friendly service. We'd happily recommend the hotel.

The king bed room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with thoughtful little extras like earplugs, a snack and a note about the concert. The rainfall shower head was nice, and the water temperature and pressure were just right, which is rare in a hotel. There was no shower door, though, which felt a bit odd, and the walls were so thin we could hear people next door and in the hallway. Service was great at check-in, during the stay and at check-out. It's only a two-minute drive to Canadian Tire Center. Breakfast was standard, nothing special, but they do have Van Houtte drip coffee. I went to the bar at 11 PM, but the bartender was already outside taking out the garbage, which was a let-down. I thoroughly enjoyed the stay and will be back as long as prices don't go up.
