We’ve stayed here for years and will keep coming back whenever we’re in Kap. The rooms are great, and it’s beside Chucks and Papa Francos, which also serves breakfast. We were travelling by snowmobile and called because the extreme temperatures meant we needed heated storage for the sleds. We were first told they were fully booked through the end of February due to a northern community evacuation, and that a group of sledders had booked the heated garage. The owner called the next day to say the group had cancelled and there was room. They also arranged for us to park the sleds in the motel next door’s garage at no charge. Amazing customer service.

We parked right outside our door in November 2023, and the room was spacious, cozy, and reasonably priced. The motel has been fully redone and modernized by the new owners, with comfy new queen beds and linens. The front desk area has been renovated too, and the staff were super nice. We slept in and felt great. Highly recommend it for a road trip through northern Ontario.

Clean, comfortable, and in a great location. It’s very utilitarian.

The rooms stink, and people smoke inside. The younger guy with black hair at the front desk seems miserable doing his job and can’t even greet guests with a smile.

The staff were super nice, and the rooms have newly renovated, spacious, comfy queen beds.
