We booked at the last minute and ended up staying for two nights. Our hosts were so kind and knew the area well. They were quick to help with anything we needed. The chalet was cozy, rustic, and charming, and I loved having a kitchenette stocked with everything you might need. My husband and I would happily return and recommend the chalets. Thanks for having us!
The chalet patio was a lovely spot to relax and take in the stunning views. There was plenty to explore nearby, and we could walk into Kaslo. My husband and I had four amazing nights here. The hosts were kind, informative, and accommodating.
These chalets are in a prime spot for the Kaslo Jazz Festival. It's an easy walk, and you can hear the bands from the balcony. They're rustic, with natural wood construction, and the rest of the amenities are fine. But there are a lot of stairs to deal with, and the lack of air conditioning is a drawback with heatwaves happening so often now.
My wife and I had everything we needed for our four-night stay. The hosts were great, and the location was great too. It was incredible, and we'll definitely be back.
It was a long, winding mess. First the information about whether dogs were allowed was unclear. Then on the second day, we were surprised with a damage deposit, and it ended with us being berated and leaving early. In short, they don't allow dogs. No matter how many times you explain what your dog is like, they'll still say you "misrepresented" the dog. Dealing with Philipine and Joel was the worst experience I've ever had at a place to stay. They were patronizing, made things up as they went, and made us feel completely unwelcome. Luckily, we got our money back. Everyone else in the Kootenays was great, and no other accommodation had any problem with our dog.
