Edmonton House

The view is still the one thing Leston can’t take away. From the upper floors, the Saskatchewan River, the green spread of the city, and the Alberta sky with its drifting clouds are beautiful. That view felt magical and is why I moved into Edmonton House, even though it’s pricey. It’s a 45-storey tower with 11 floors of parking. Since Leston took over, though, the building has gone downhill. There’s no concierge or security now, doors stay broken for weeks, people set off fireworks inside, and garbage piles up. Fire safety worries me most, because too many basic things that should be maintained aren’t. More tenants have also started talking about cockroach activity and even mice, which were never an issue before. I wish management respected this place as much as the residents do.

I love living in Edmonton house, and the whole management team is wonderful. Miss Ren, the property manager, has been especially helpful and kind. She listens and understands when you talk with her, and she’s there to help. We were having a really hard time managing our finances, but things worked out with her help. Thank you again for such wonderful customer service. 100 stars.

When I moved into Edmonton House, Susan patiently walked me through all the steps. She’s been there whenever I’ve had a question or issue, handling things with professionalism, grace, and a kind heart. As the concierge, she welcomes people with warmth and kindness. Even on a difficult day, her smile lifts my mood. She asks how your day is going and really listens, and she has a way of making you feel like family, as if you’ve known her for years. Her caring nature and positive energy make the building feel like home. It’s an honour to leave this review. Edmonton House is lucky to have Susan at the front desk. The convenience store inside the building sounds useful, but the prices are extremely inflated. A bag of Costco microwave popcorn is over $2.00, and a can of pop is over $3.00. Future tenants should know that. The heating is also a major problem in winter. Units get extremely cold, and even after concerns were raised, nothing was handled properly. No one should have to live in freezing conditions while paying full rent. Management is hard to deal with. Communication is slow, unhelpful, and often dismissive, and even basic issues can turn into stressful back and forth that takes far too long to resolve. I normally don’t leave negative reviews, but other tenants deserve a fair warning. Think twice before choosing this building. Buyer beware.
