Four Points by Sheraton Kelowna Airport

The restaurant service was excellent, with delicious food and tasty cocktails. The lobby is beautifully decorated and feels warm and inviting, and the staff made check-in especially nice. The woman who welcomed me was funny, warm, informative, and professional, not robotic. She recognized me as a member and asked about any specific needs. Since it was my birthday, the whole staff signed a card and left a delicious piece of cake and sparkling water in my room. My king suite was spacious and well laid out, with a fully equipped bar kitchen, full-size fridge, microwave, and premium wine glasses, which I appreciated. There was a hide-a-bed, and the bathroom had a walk-in shower separate from the tub shower, handy for families. This property has really upped its game since my last stay. It was one of my favorite experiences here, and it's top tier for me.

We paid extra for a room labeled “premium,” but room 231 faced only the HVAC system, and its noise came right in. There was a big gap beneath the door, so hallway sounds felt like they were inside the room. Doors slammed loudly all night on our floor, with just a break from 12:30 until 3am. Housekeeping was talking loudly from 8am, and the linen room was right across from our door. I don't think I got even two hours of sleep. The room was nothing like the clean, soundproof rooms described in the great Expedia reviews, and I feel like I was badly let down after paying so much and expecting a good stay. It's the worst hotel room I've ever had, so don't trust those good reviews. The coffee wasn't drinkable either, though at least there's a Starbucks steps away. You'll need coffee after a night here.

For my work trips, this is a reliable, comfortable place to stay. I come once or twice a month, and as a Titanium Elite, I feel my status is always recognized. When a suite is available, I'm consistently upgraded, which I appreciate. Staff are always friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The location works perfectly for my trips, between downtown Kelowna and Vernon, with Nesters and lots of restaurants right across the street. There's no lounge, but Gulfstream downstairs is fantastic for meals. Coffee and cookies in the lobby each afternoon are a treat. The pool and hottub areas are usually full of families with kids, so I haven't had much chance to try them, but they must be a blast if you're traveling with children.

During an incredibly difficult crash landing in a freezing Canadian winter, the team's hospitality and support restored my faith in humanity. Everyone I met helped me find the energy to continue my journey, from the front desk and maintenance manager to the lovely Travelers passing by. This will definitely be my first choice in the future.
