We had a great overnight stay at Hotel Zed while visiting Kelowna. The location is hard to beat, right beside the park and an easy walk from downtown. The colourful decor, fun freebies, game room, and free bikes were a hit with our family. Staff were welcoming and kind, and our room upgrade made the visit feel extra special. Highly recommend for families! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

JORDAN was so helpful, friendly, and accommodating throughout our stay, and his service made the experience even better. We also had fun with the bikes and ping pong. The hotel’s atmosphere and amenities were great, and its location near City Park, the marina, and downtown Kelowna made it easy to get around. Highly recommend!

For a waterfront location, the price was very reasonable. It’s a basic hotel, but the rooms are bright, clean, and fun. Our kids liked having bunk beds. We did hear street noise through the thin walls, though earbuds were provided. The people in the room beside us seemed like they might be party guests and were rowdy around 4:30 am. An enforced quiet period would be helpful.

The Zed has a fun, colourful feel that rejects the corporate grey hotel vibe. My mom, Barbie, was a 60s go-go dancer, a teen town beauty queen, and a celebrated designer who loved colour. Walking through Hotel Zed made me smile. Jane Francis from the front desk showed me around: there’s a ping pong room with a video game console and board games, plus a rooftop patio with fire pits, a BBQ area, and great views of city park. The pool wasn’t open, but the hot tub was ready for the old boys rugby team checking in that day. Rooms vary, with some kitchenettes, some bunk beds, and some more standard setups. They all have Archie comics, yo-yos, and earplugs, which make sense in the middle of downtown nightlife. Housekeeping staff also make handmade crochet items for the Zed swag. How cool is that? I didn’t stay this time, but I’ll be back for the evening events with the old boys rugby team. Rebels unite over ping pong. Bikes and roller skates are included with a waiver.

The hotel is across the street from Kelowna Park & Marina, and just two blocks from downtown shopping and all the eateries. It’s very chic, with so much pink that it looks like a Barbie house. There’s a pool, sauna, ping pong lounge, and three decks with lots of seating, including one with a fireplace. My room had a nostalgic rotary phone, a yo-yo, and Archie comic books. Love this place, 10/10 😂
