SureStay Hotel by Best Western Kemptville

It was -27 the night we stayed, and we were warm. The room was clean and nicely appointed, not worn out, which was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast didn’t have many options, but for the price it was a great experience.

We had to leave earlier than planned after changing our plans on our doctor's recommendation while in Kempville for a medical procedure. The hotel staff worked with us, and arranging reimbursement wasn’t an issue. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms renovated, and being able to sit outside for fresh air was wonderful. Thanks for being so flexible and understanding. We’d definitely return.

I lived in Kemptville for 20 years and remember when this motel changed hands many times and was a dive. It’s not that anymore. I slept well in a clean room, and the staff were amazing and professional. I’ll stay again when I’m back. Thank you, SureStay Kemptville. DL Marshall

The bed was comfortable, but the pillows weren’t, and the sheet was stained. There was dust on the light fixtures, broken tiles in the bathroom, and dirt and mold-looking grime in the grout. An ant was crawling across the bathroom floor. The hotel also needs repairs: light showed through the edge of the room door, the handles and plates on both sides were loose, and the sliding doors didn’t work or fit right. There were no cream, sugar, or stir sticks for coffee and tea. When I told a staff member, he didn’t believe me and came into the room to check, which felt offensive and petty. Later, while we were out for the evening, the clerk left two packets of condiments, stir sticks, and napkins in our room. Breakfast wasn’t worth writing home about, and the stay wasn’t good value.
