Sutton Park Inn

Mr. Kim made our one night stay a treat. He was friendly, hilarious, and accommodating, letting us check out late so we could enjoy the beach in Kincardine during the day. My husband and I were there to celebrate our legal wedding. It's an older hotel, but very clean, with comfortable beds. The rooms are motel style, which made it convenient to come and go from the beach.

I lost my driver's license and only had a health card for ID, so a few other local hotels turned me away. The owner here checked me in without hesitation. I'd also lost my cell phone earlier that day, and he let me make a few long distance calls on his phone and gave me a bit of food. He's the nicest person, far more helpful than I expected. I didn't get to try the restaurant, which I've heard is great, so I'll drive back to try it. The building is older but well maintained, my room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. I'd recommend it for the people who own it alone.

For $145, we expected a properly cleaned room, even though it looked old fashioned. Instead, a washcloth left by the previous guest was hanging on the bath pole, the towels had stains, and there were hairs in the bed. We definitely won't return.

The price was decent, and the room itself wasn't too bad, but I'm not sure I'd stay again. There was a musty smell in the rooms, though we got used to it after a little while. The TVs could be bigger and have more channels for a quiet night in. The breakfast area was okay, but we found moldy bagels set out for guests.
