Nova Inn Kindersley

For less than $100, I got a good bed, a quiet room, good water pressure, and everything I needed for an overnight stay. The staff were very friendly, and the restaurant had decent red wine. It’s a five star, two star hotel. I’ll definitely stay again if I stop in Kindersley.

The staff made the stay so much easier, and I’d stay at Nova Inn again if I’m back in the area. I grew up near Vancouver, BC, live in Edmonton now, and have stayed in plenty of hotels while travelling around the Pacific Coast/Western Canada. Saskatchewan wasn’t in my plans, and I only had a cash deposit, so I called Nova Inn first. The girl on the phone said they accepted cash deposits, and it was $50 less than what it normally is. Check-in was straightforward. When I asked the girl at the counter what time the Dollarama up the road closed, she didn’t know, but looked it up for me. It sounds small, but that was one less thing for my mom brain to remember. The room was a bit dated, but had the basics: tv, coffee pot, cable, fridge, and microwave. A second “patio” door let me park right outside, which made loading and unloading easy. The bar fridge door wouldn’t stay shut well, but putting a chair in front of it fixed that, and the fridge got nice and cold. The bathtub faucet handles were backwards, hot was cold and vice versa, so it was confusing to turn them on and off. There was plenty of hot water, though. The beds were comfy, and my little one was out in less than a couple minutes. When I explained at the front that I was running late and asked for a later checkout, they said yes, I could stay until before 3pm. I’ve never had that at another hotel. Every staff member I dealt with was exceptionally kind. Thank you, Nova Inn!

The outside could use a cosmetic update, but inside it’s a nice, clean hotel where pets can stay with you. The service and staff were great, and the rooms were super clean. The beds were amazing to sleep on. There’s free wi fi, though TV reception wasn’t the greatest. I didn’t spend much time in the room, so I can’t really complain. I’d definitely stay again.

For work, I stay here because they have good corporate rates. There’s a small table and 2 chairs, which comes in handy for making sandwiches and things. I didn’t take pictures of that since I’d already been in the room for a couple days when Google asked. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. There’s lots of parking, with room for our big truck, and runs with outside doors are available. Across the street there’s a gas station with a circle k, and the hotel has a western family pizza restaurant attached.
