We went on a Sunday around brunch time, and the food was hot and delicious. It’s a lot better than it was when I moved to Quesnel 20 years ago, so I’ll be going more often now. Service can be hit or miss with staffing issues, like at other restaurants these days. I never felt ignored, though, just had to wait longer than expected. I used to work as a line cook, so my expectations might be higher or lower than most people’s.

The location worked really well, with everything within walking distance. Our room was roomy, clean, comfortable, and nicely renovated, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. A very nice place to stay.

The beds were fantastic, and the bathrooms have been updated. The rest of the hotel has a lovely 70s throwback feel, since it doesn’t seem to have changed much since then. Our only real problem was the very loud air conditioner. It kept switching on and off all night, even with the fan set to “on,” and kept us awake. We’d consider coming back in the cooler months.

The continental breakfast was fresh, hot, and kept well stocked. We also had a beautiful, very clean room for a great price. Everyone at the front desk was terrific, and Emna went above and beyond. I’m sure the rest of the staff would have done the same.

They’re so polite and ready to help with anything. I’ll definitely be back.
