Best Western Fireside Inn

The place has an old-fashioned look, but it's charming once you notice that the things that matter have been updated. The Wi-Fi is excellent, the bed is comfortable, and the TV is new. They sanitize the remote between bookings and put it in a static-free bag. The staff were friendly and responsive, and we had everything we needed without asking. Comfortable stay with old-fashioned quality service.

My wife and I had a really relaxing evening in the Renaissance suite. There was loads of room to lounge, plus a dining table, wet bar, and two bathrooms. The king bed was massive, and the two fireplaces kept us warm. Great amenities. Highly recommend it.

The breakfast was fresh and plentiful, and the staff greeted us cheerfully and were very friendly. I also spent a lovely first afternoon napping on a lounger by the pool. The bar and restaurant offer table service on the deck, so you can't bring food or drinks from your room out there. I booked by phone easily for a last-minute, two-night trip, and arrived late. The manager, I think, was on duty and checked us in promptly and efficiently. The decor is dated, but it didn't look worn or threadbare to me. It has a bit of a movie-set feel, and the wood and brickwork must have taken quite a bit of effort to build. A nice, clean motel with some appealing decor.

We've stayed twice, and both visits were great. The rooms are cute and clean, and the staff are friendly. Check-in and checkout are easy. They gave us a breakfast voucher, which we used once, and the basic breakfast was nice. I like Tom's Place, the pub, though we haven't tried the building's other restaurant yet. We'd definitely return, maybe to try one of the fantasy rooms.
