Strata Hotel

The only confusing part was finding the entrance. It wasn't clearly marked along the Plaza until we were right beside it. Once inside, though, we loved the spacious king room, bright lighting, neat curtains, and furniture in excellent shape. The bed linens were great, and the bathroom and shower were beautiful. No carpet, and the price was very reasonable. We'd absolutely stay again.

The price was more reasonable than at many nearby hotels, and the clean vinyl plank flooring was a nice touch. Our bed was comfortable and the linens were nice. The updated bathroom was bright and white, with a huge mirror framed by a light and an anti-fog heater. Better pillows might make it easier to sleep.

The rooms and reception area were great, and the bed was comfortable, though the outside of the hotel looked a little sketchy. Accessibility was the reason I couldn't give it five stars. We had to come in through the covered parking area because that was the only ramp, and my husband's wheelchair couldn't use the front entrance. There were no automatic door buttons between the ramp and the building, or between the first and second doors inside. He got stuck.

We held a weekend retreat at Strata, and the meeting went really well. The coffee, tea, and water station was ready, with hot coffee waiting when we arrived. Participants liked both the location and the rooms. The staff were excellent and accommodating, and Sam made the tech support and arrangements so easy. Strata is close to grocery stores and cafes, and about 10 minutes from downtown kingston. Highly recommend.
