The scenery was amazing, and the atmosphere was lovely. We checked in Friday and left Monday, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. There was lots to do, including hiking, snowshoeing, zip lining, indoor and outdoor pools, snowmobiling, relaxing by the fireplace, and live music. The snowmobiling was all booked, so we couldn’t take part. There are more things nearby too, like skiing, dogsledding, and hiking. We’ll have to come back in summer. Finding somewhere to eat was the main challenge, since the two restaurants were fully booked most of the time.

The historic charm and breathtaking views at Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu made a strong impression on me. My room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the hotel had a relaxing, elegant atmosphere. From arrival, the staff were warm, professional, and attentive, consistently making sure I had what I needed. It was a memorable stay, and I’d highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable getaway.

The staff were the part of my visit I appreciated most. They were friendly, attentive, and welcoming at reception, in the restaurants, and around the property. The hotel is large, but the service still felt personal, and the beautiful grounds made me want to wander and take in the scenery. Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu sits above the St. Lawrence River, with views that felt both grand and calming. The historic architecture, warm woodwork, and thoughtful details gave the elegant interior a timeless feel without making it intimidating. My room was spacious and comfortable, and waking up to the river view each morning felt like a small gift. It was a one-time visit that brought together comfort, history, and natural beauty. I felt well cared for and connected to the landscape, and the experience stayed with me after I left. Update: Thank you, Adrien. I’ve never had such a long and thoughtful response to a review, and I really appreciate the care you and your team put into the guest experience and your follow-up. My stay at Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu was memorable in all the best ways, and your kind words add to that feeling. Wishing you and the team continued success. I hope I can return for another enchanting visit someday. ❤️❤️❤️

The building is beautiful, the staff have a great sense of hospitality, and the area overlooking the St Lawrence is gorgeous. There are plenty of amenities on site, including pools, a spa, two restaurants, several bars, a grand hall, and a casino. We had a lovely stay, though there’s room for improvement, and it’s quite expensive. Parking was a real hassle at first. The lots sit along a one-way loop, so if a lot is full or you miss it, you have to drive all the way around again. It took us 10-15 minutes to find a spot. Google Maps also shows the roads inaccurately and can direct you the wrong way down a one-way street. It would help if the hotel worked with Google to show street directions and parking locations correctly. Signage is sparse and unlit at night too, and a few lamps would improve things for almost no cost. Ordering room service was a nightmare. I unplugged the Alexa tablet in the room for privacy, then found that the phone, which had the wrong room number on it, didn’t work. After plugging in the tablet, I asked for room service and got a long list of robot operator options, then a hold, before I could finally place my order. The old phone had one button that connected straight to room service. If the hotel is going to bring in high-tech solutions, they should make sure they’re actually better than the old way first. There isn’t a lot to do in Malbaie. We stayed three nights and ended up taking a trip to Quebec City to fill our time. If you enjoy gambling, that may not be an issue, since the casino connects to the hotel through an underground tunnel. We might stay again if we had a specific reason to be in the area, and hope the signs are better by then.

The historic charm, beautiful views, and surrounding nature made this a peaceful getaway. My room was comfortable, though a bit dated. Housekeeping was questionable, and the service was okay but less consistent than I expected from a Fairmont. It was a pleasant stay, but the guest experience could be elevated.
