Motel Villa Mon Repos

Great service and rooms. For me, it's the best motel in la Sarre, and I'd stay there again.

There was plenty of space in the large parking lot for oversized vehicles. The staff were friendly, and the recently renovated room was clean and comfortable. Wifi was fast and reliable near the hallway door, though farther into the room the signal was sometimes weak and sometimes fine.

The room was spotless, with no unpleasant smells, and the exterior door sealed properly. I usually worry about boot dirt and bugs getting into motel rooms, but neither was an issue here. The queen bed was comfortable, and there was a flat screen TV, fridge, microwave, table, desk, and comfortable chairs. I appreciate the management and staff for keeping the place so clean, and I'd recommend it to anyone passing through who needs a pleasant room. Still, $114 plus taxes felt too high for my room. Without the shower problem, $90-$100 would seem reasonable to me. The water went from the temperature I set to suddenly too hot, then plain cold, so it needs repairs. It wasn't a horrible place, just slightly overpriced.

The two clerks we met were very nice, and the night clerk was accommodating when I explained we'd need to check out later than 12h00pm. We arrived at 4h00 am after my boyfriend's disco-mobile job for a fair in another village. We needed enough sleep to be able to drive home, and the bed was comfortable. Having the hairdryer in the part of the room where we watched television wasn't practical. All in all, it was a pleasant short stay.
