Duvernay Studios and Suites

The stay was rough, despite the good price, free indoor parking, and location close to plais de congrès. Staff were nice and tried to make things right. We stayed for 2 days in November 2025. You have to check in at another hotel, and the parking garage is elsewhere. The hotel is beside the garage but isn’t attached to it. Once inside, there are several doors and stairs, with no signs telling you where to go. They give you a key to enter the building but no other directions for finding your room. Rooms in the 100's are on floor "A2", up a flight of stairs, but there’s no way to know that without trying several directions. The kitchen stove looked like it was from the 70's and didn’t work, so they’d put an equally old hot plate on the counter. The lamp with plugs didn’t work, and even as a techy, I couldn’t get the TV to change channels. There was some kind of fight on the street in the middle of the night, with what sounded like 30 people. The police came and went, but people kept screaming outside. The first morning, people above us were stomping and running around at 645am; the next morning, they moved furniture back and forth. There’s no lock on the inside of the room door, so anyone with a key to your room can open it while you’re sleeping. Overall, it wasn’t a good experience.
