Manoir Des Lacs

I stopped here in the middle of the night when I decided not to keep driving and just needed somewhere to sleep. The host welcomed me, and that kindness made the stay worthwhile. It’s right on the lake, and breakfast, served by the host, was a moderate portion. The furnished room had a strong old smell from the very dated curtains and furniture, the only real downside I can recall. I enjoyed learning about the diversity of this town outside of Edmundson, and it became a sweet memory from my little trip around Canada. Thanks, I’d recommend it.

The owner was the highlight for me. He has great stories and is happy to share them. The spot is charming and close to the lake, and the rooms are nicely renovated, each with a private balcony and netting for comfort through the summer. Breakfast came with our one-night stay and was decent.

Dan made us feel like royalty during our one-night stay. His stories about the house and the history behind its objects took us back in time. The Manoir, its history, and the lake made this a rare, perfect find. I was deeply and pleasantly surprised by the place. Stay here and experience the magic for yourselves.

The rooms are cozy, the beds really comfortable, and the location is beautiful. Dan’s hospitality is so good, I’d give him 10/5 for it. He’s one of the greatest hosts you could meet. All the best, Dan, and thank you.
