For a winter visit, the room stayed warm and cozy even at -24, and the parking lot snow had been cleared by morning. The beds were comfortable, the heater was good, hot water was available, and staff were attentive. Microwave and fridge worked well, WiFi was good, and there were plenty of lights and outlets for charging electronics. The location was handy for town services, and parking was plentiful. I didn't use the e-car charger, but one is there. The pool was closed for the season, so I can't comment on it. The price might make you think you're getting a cheap hotel, but the thoughtful improvements say otherwise. Paint was neatly done, as was the flooring, the windows were insulated, the art suited the place, and the exterior was clean and maintained.

It was clean and relaxing, and a cool place to watch the trains go by. The railway was busy while I was there. My only complaint was that the pillows were a bit small and flat.

The room was clean and the staff were friendly. For what it cost, I was pleasantly surprised, and I think it deserves better than a 2 rating. I'd recommend it and would stay here again.

The beds were really comfortable, and service was quick and excellent. My husband, friends, and I were pleasantly surprised by how clean the motel was. I was especially glad there was no carpet, since I can't stand rugs. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

We arrived after 11 pm, but the owner still made us feel very welcome and was incredibly friendly. The room was spotless, comfortable, and clearly well cared for. It's about an hour's drive from Ottawa, and I'd highly recommend it for an easy stay.
