Perth Plaza Inn & Suites

For a one-night stop, the price was great and check-in was quick and easy. The room was as clean as it could be, and the towels and sheets smelled clean too. It was quiet, which made it much easier to rest after my long trip.

We found the location handy for both the Trans Canada Highway and downtown Perth, and the motel suited what we needed. The room had a comfortable bed, a desk, wardrobe, fridge and microwave, plus windows at both the front and back that open. It’s a bit dated, but very clean, and I really liked the wood-look linoleum instead of carpet. The staff were so friendly, and we had an enjoyable stay.

For a simple overnight stop around Perth, this motel is good value. The rooms I saw looked clean, especially the bathrooms, and there’s a decent TV, fridge, iron and ironing board, wardrobe, hair dryer, and plenty of towels if you need them. At this price, cleanliness is usually my main concern, and it seemed well taken care of. I’m judging it as a no-frills motel, though, not comparing it with a hotel I’d give four stars to. They’re different kinds of places.

I stayed here often while driving to Ottawa. It’s a clean, efficient budget motel, and the owners are fantastic. Having EV charging is a bonus for me.
