The food was excellent, and the owner made us feel welcome every time we stopped by in our boat. We’ve been coming here for years. The whole place has that lovely feeling of stepping back into an era we all miss. I can’t say enough good things about it!

We’ve been stopping here while cruising for about 15 years, and it always feels welcoming. The deck is still great, and sometimes there’s live music at the fun little pub. I first ate here in 2019, when the burger was solid and the beers were nice. When we came back with friends in 2025, the restaurant had a new owner and the pizza was amazing. The fries tasted fresh, like they’d been cooked in fresh oil. We go out of our way to make this a stop.

We were anchored in the bay rather than staying at the hotel, and the location is great for sailors. The staff were friendly, and the owner, Al?, is lovely!

The crew was especially glad to hear there’s now power through the night. I booked eight rooms for my staff for a week-long project on the island, and the staff were very helpful arranging everything, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. The food was great.

The beer selection and food are really good, and the new owners have made the place feel welcoming. There’s a living room area with a pellet wood stove and a TV showing sports. False Bay is a great setting, with a beautiful view of the ocean. Can’t wait to go back.
