Best Western Plus Leamington Hotel & Conference Centre

Breakfast was hot, the service was great, and our server was friendly, kind, and accommodating, but it was super pricey. It cost over $70 for me, my husband, and the kids. Drinks weren't included with the buffet, either, and breakfast wasn't complimentary. The pool was closed, which upset my kids, and teams staying at the hotel were noisy early in the morning. I woke up exhausted. The rooms are definitely old and could use some work.

The pool area looked neglected and felt unsafe and unsanitary. The floor was wet, grimy, and slippery, with thick, humid air. Chairs were scattered, surfaces were filthy, and I saw no sign of cleaning or supervision. The rest of the hotel was in shocking condition too, so dirty and poorly managed. It looked as if the owners had given up on maintaining the property. Basic cleanliness and upkeep were nonexistent. In this state, the place shouldn't be charging guests. Save yourself the frustration and stay somewhere else.

What upset me most was checking out: a staff member named Kaylee spoke to me rudely and unprofessionally. The way she addressed me felt unnecessary and disrespectful, and it significantly affected my experience. We've stayed at the Best Western Plus Leamington Hotel and Conference Centre for nearly 30 years, so this is disappointing to write. The room we had reserved and paid for in advance wasn't the one we got. It had one fewer bed than we needed, so we ended up using two roll-away beds we hadn't expected or planned for. It also wasn't ready at check-in, and we had to wait another 10 minutes past the scheduled time, which was inconvenient while traveling with family. This hotel has long been familiar and trusted for us, but it seems more run-down now, and customer service standards seem to be slipping. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both the hotel's condition and staff interactions with guests. This place has meant a lot to my family over the years, and I'd like to see it do better.

The kids had an absolute blast at the Fun Centre, spending 13 hours there on Saturday and switching between badminton, volleyball, and swimming. The other guests were respectful and friendly, while the adults in our group enjoyed watching all the activity. We were there for two nights to celebrate my son's friend's birthday. The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and it made for a relaxing weekend. We'll certainly be back.
