Talbot Trail Inn & Suites

For what we paid, this wasn’t a pleasant stay. The rooms were small and old, and we found bugs, including a spider. The staff did try to keep things clean and provide service, but the price was much higher than other places and the hotel didn’t feel worth it.

The owner told us to pay $1200$ extra on top of the full 30 days the city had paid for, even though I would only pay 210$. I was staying there with two dogs because we were homeless. We were only there for 17 days, yet they’d been paid for 30. Still, the owner said pay it all or go to the streets, saying he didn’t care. They put us out in the cold and threatened me with cops and CAS, even though the room was paid in full. Wow, what a place. The room itself was awful too. Ants were everywhere, there was no plug for the bath, the old furniture was overpriced, and the beds were hard as hell with terrible pillows. Management and cleaning staff weren’t nice, and the room wasn’t up to par. I don’t recommend this motel to anyone looking for a decent place.

The location worked well and the stay went smoothly. The woman at check-in was kind, and the process was easy. The room had good water pressure, though the towel rack and TV looked ready to fall off the walls. I also would’ve liked a full-length mirror. Room service was meant to come during our three-day stay but never did. We’d been out all day, so I guess they forgot. No big deal. Good value for money, and I’d definitely stay again.

We booked two rooms for the family for one night, and both were impeccably clean. One did smell of tobacco smoke, which was the only downside. The rooms had been nicely updated, with good furniture, quality bedding and towels, and attractive finishes. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms worked well, and the hotel had plenty of little extras. Check-in and checkout were easy, service was good, and the place felt well run and much better than a low-end motel with lots of problems. We were very impressed and grateful for a pleasant stay.
