Motel Lennoxville

Diane was especially accommodating when my Montreal flight was delayed and I arrived well after 10:30 p.m. Reception usually closes at 10, but she was expecting me, checked me in quickly, and it all went smoothly. The manager was nice. The room was very clean and spacious for the price, with one double bed, a cooker, dishes, and a mini fridge, handy if you need to eat in. The decor looked dated, with brown leaf-patterned quilts and trim, though I didn't mind it. If you're staying in Lennoxville, the location is right in the middle of town, close to necessities, downtown, the universities, and the college. The Golden Lion Pub is just behind the hotel, and it's one of Canada's first microbreweries. This is also a good base for the wider Sherbrooke and Eastern Townships area. Compared with other motels, it's nearly five stars, with location, price, and cleanliness in its favor. I recommend it.

The rooms are basic and the location is great. Fabulous service too, the owner clearly takes pride in the business.

In summer the place was covered in greenery, which made for a really relaxing feel. It's a friendly, family-run motel, set well back from the street with parking, and the service was nice. My room was comfortable and attractive, clean, and had new fixtures, plus a kitchenette with pots, pans, and dishes. The pool looked lovely, though I didn't use it. The neighborhood is easy to get around on foot, with groceries, a farmers market, SAQ, haircare, a church, bookstore, coffee, and restaurants nearby. The Transcanada multi-use trail runs through town, and there's a good-sized park here with more parks close by. You can bike, take the bus, or drive to Sherbrooke from Lennoxville.

We spent four nights here with our little family, my husband, me, and our four young children. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, they made us feel at home, like family, and they speak both English and French fluently. We rented a room with a kitchen, which had all the utensils we needed and was very helpful with the kids. On arrival, the first thing we noticed was how lovely the room smelled. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the sheets were clean every day. There is a pool, but our busy schedule and activities meant we didn't get to use it. We had a wonderful stay and are already planning to come back next year.
